How to compute tax calculation if i do both equity(long-term) and options(intraday and positional)?

Recently opened trading account with zerodha and demat account through zerodha(IL&FS).

Am new to invest/trade… Yet to start investing & trading.

Assuming am investing 50k in Rajiv Gandhi Equity Saving Scheme(Holding period 3 year) and another 1lakh in Equity(Holding period more than one year) and start trading with a capital of 1lakh and at the end of the financial year with a return of 40% in trading.

Me belong to 10% tax slab rate.

With the above assumptions i have some questions.

1.Long term capital gain is considered after selling the stock, but if i just buy and not selling(since holding for long year) - What is my long tem capital gain… Is it zero ?

2.Which ITR form need to choose(ITR-2 or ITR-4) ?

2a. If i choose ITR-2 how the options trading profit/loss considered. (Assuming if ITR-2 is chosen the equity shares holding more than year are tax-free)…Tax rate for options trading is 15% or based on income tax slab rates(10%).

2b. If i choose ITR-4 how i can show the investment amount in equity… What is the tax rate for equity ? what is the tax rate for options … Tax rate for options trading is 15% or based on income tax slab rates(10%).

Thanks for reading the long phrased question.

In Very simple words, If u are Holding Shares (Equity) for more than a Year There is no Long Term Capital Gain as it is exempt under section 10

However if hold Shares for less than a year the gains will b chargable to Short Term Capital Gains.

In case of Derivatives (Futures and Options both intraday and Positional) U will need to treat the Income as Business Income and will b eligible deductions of appropriate expenses and only the net gains wil b chargable to Income Tax.

Losses on both Equity and Derivatives are allowed to b carried forward if and eligible to b set off against Gains from the same activity.
