first of all, liquid stocks means.. that stocks which are in highlight today because of heavy volumes or heavy value traded in them..

Those stocks which are trading in high volumes regularly and which can be sold or bought at any point of time with very less spreads between sell/buy quotes are liquid stocks. In these stocks you can get out or get in at any time by booking loss/gain. Whereas in illiquid stocks, though you could buy on some day due to high volume, it may not be possible to get out of it at a rate you deem fit as these stocks will rarely trade on some other day.
