I have an amount to invest in nifty50 index and i want to do it lumpsum, but have my concerns as nifty is at ATH, any suggestions?

I am planning to pledge them and use that margin as my trading capital

Most people SIP for this very same reason of having concerns with buying at the top.
Since you mention that you want to trade with this lumpsum pledge. Have you also thought about the cash margin part?
Yeah i have that covered, i am only concerned with the equity part as of now, SIP is also good but what should be the ideal amount and total time period.

It is something you need to derive based on your income, savings rate, expenses, goals!
Having a 20% savings rate was considered okay earlier, now I guess we need to save more esp. seeing the price hikes after lockdown !
