If you have friends or family in the US, this is right time to call them up and ask them to lend / send you a few thousand dollars to your bank Account in India.
Assuming they are not going to charge you any interest.
Also, agree to repay them in the present Dollar value of the borrowed sum. after a year.
Deposit the sum in FD for a year, If the statistics are right, you probably going to make a 15% + return on this interest free borrowing. (FD interest + Rupee Appreciation) .
