How to place limit order for more than one day?

If I want to place a limit order so that I don’t have to place it again everyday until I cancel, how would I go about doing that?

I know there is GTT but it only palces the limit order if it is triggered by a price. But if there is illiquid stock or option how do I place limit order for that?

Currently if you want to place long standing pending orders, then it is possible only through GTT.
