Hi, I have HUF account with Zerodha, and I did equity investments and derivative (options) trading through it. I am trying to sync it with quicko to tax filing, but PAN number is not linking. This problem is happening only with HUF account. Can anyone guide me about filing ITR through Quicko for HUF accounts?
Hello @vemulapalli1991
Currently, our DIY (Do it yourself) app supports only Individual tax filing. We are working towards making it live for HUF as well.
Meanwhile, our expert team can assist you to file ITR for HUF covering income from investment and options trading.
If you wish to go ahead with the expert assistance, please drop us an email on [email protected] and our team shall assist you further.
Thank you.
This issue generally occurs because an HUF is a separate taxpayer under the Income-tax Act, 1961, and platforms like Quicko may not fully support automatic PAN sync for HUF accounts.
Suggested Solution:
Download Tax P&L, Capital Gain and F&O reports from Zerodha.
File the return using HUF PAN login (not the Karta’s individual PAN).
Since options trading is involved, ITR-3 will generally apply.
If Quicko sync fails, enter data manually or file directly on the Income Tax portal.
Summary:
HUF filing is allowed
Separate PAN required
Manual filing usually needed for HUF trading accounts.
