I have a trading Demat account with icici bank for equities. Can I open a F&O trading account with another broker?

Yes, you can open F&O Trading account with another broker, There is a flexibility even you can link your demat to the another brokers trading account and can trade on EQ cash market also., the delivery shares will be transfered to that demat.
