I have to close my trading account as I don’t want to trade or invest again, I’d started the account some three years ago and didn’t do much of trading, just invested in some stocks which I sold.
My account is with Zerodha.
Can someone please tell me what are the things that I need to/should download before I terminate my account completely. In case there maybe any future requirements for them with the IT department or otherwise. Any particular records that I should keep?
I don’t have any shares in my Demat account, it is completely blank.
Sorry, I’m not a finance person, so don’t know much about such things and just want to be careful.
@Hardik12 Bhi any reason you want to close it off completely? Usually better to keep at least one account active, in case sometime in the future you feel like coming back to markets.
Closing is fine too, just keep tax P&L for records, it may help.
All the Contract Notes would be useful to download/backup,
as they can be used to to look-up any details of past investments and sales. (eg. if one required to provide any clarifications on the Capital-Gains one may have declared.)
