If I sell shares from holding - can I use it for that 50% cash component for FNO position?

Let’s say I sold 1 lac. worth of shares - and I want to create FNO short position so 50% is required in cash …so I need 50k
Can proceeds from sold shares today, be used towards that cash component or I have to wait till T+2 or T+1? @ShubhS9 @siva

You can use it from T day only.

Just making sure …I am asking about 50% cash component …not asking about collateral component.
If I recall correctly …I read somewhere that until T+2 day proceed from sold holding is considered collateral. Unless its withdrawable - it can not be used for cash requirement.

You can use it.

Oh may I should have asked more clearly…I guess I can use it but can I use it without paying interest …0.05% a day

Ohh, you are asking the samething thrice, if any penalty I would have told you. You can use that money to take fno trade for carryforward.
