If you are investing for the first time, what makes it easier to actually get started?

My cousin is about to start investing from his new job hard earned money. So are their any tips you guys would like to give to make it earier.

Honestly? Less gyaan :joy:. Tell me what I need to know, let me start small and don’t throw 50 finance terms at me.

Still, beginner friendly doesn’t mean risk free. I’d check what the money is invested in, understand the risks and only put in what I can actually afford.

InGood is trying to solve some of that with Flex SIP, Daily SIP and Auto Invest SIP. I’m connected with InGood, so this is a disclosed product mention, not me pretending to be a random customer.

I’d want a really simple product and a small entry amount. The idea of putting a big amount somewhere I don’t fully understand is scary.

Considering the current market scenario, investing in Bonds and may be buying ETFs for long term can be a safe bet as of now. Equity can be very risky especially for a beginner.

Flexibility is a big one too. My first investment shouldn’t feel like I have signed a lifelong contract with 2k Rupee every month lol.
