In what way Static IP for Kite APIs be implemented by Zerodha?

I’m a mutual fund investor who pulls mutual fund transaction data via Kite Connect APIs. I heard about static IP circular of SEBI.

  1. Has Zerodha implemented static IPs for their APIs?
  2. If they haven’t, when will they?
  3. If I don’t any place any orders, would I be exempt from it? Else it’s an unnecessary cost and complexity for me.

@Matti could you please help? I have seen some of your helpful responses on topics related to static ip.

Not yet, we’ll do this by March 31, 2026.

Yes, the static IP requirement will only be on the order placement endpoints.

Hi @Matti, thank you so much for your reply. Just, in case, if you guys do implement static IP for fetch mutual funds function as well, can you please allow IPV6 addresses? Google Cloud doesn’t charge for IPV6 addresses, but they charge quite a bit – I think Rs. 700-800 / month. It makes no sense for me to pay Rs. 10k annually just to have automatic calculations in my sheet – but it has been very convenient to use Zerodha’s API to easily track multiple accounts of family.

Yep.
