for the financial year 2024-2025 , i have not sold any shares other than LIQUIDBEES. Zerodha Tax PL is correctly showing. But in AIS Report i see there are some shares are sold at 02-APR-2024 which is not correct. Actually i have some them at 28-Mar-2024 and not in previous financial year.
Is this information is reported by Zerodha. How do i correct this. kindly help @Quicko
The AIS is populated from information reported by various entities. Sometimes, there can be a difference between the trade date (when you place the order) and the settlement date (when it gets reported), which can cause such errors.
How to fix: Log in to the AIS portal → locate the transaction → click “Provide Feedback” → select “Information is incorrect” → mention that the trade was executed on 28-Mar-2024 (FY 2023-24) and not 02-Apr-2024 (FY 2024-25).
Next step: Once feedback is submitted, the Income Tax Department will review and update the records.
Difference in AIS Sale of Shares due to previous Year Entry
AIS shows more sales than Broker Report due to previous year entry reflected in this year in AIS
ITR filed with less sales so what to do now
1)Revise the ITR
2)Feedback on AIS
3)Nothing will get process automatically
In the event of a discrepancy between the sale value reported in the AIS and the broker’s report, particularly if this difference is due to an entry from the previous year being reflected in the AIS, it is strongly recommended to address the issue by providing feedback directly through the AIS portal.
