What does 14 period in RSI mean if I keep on changing chart time frame from 1 min to 3 min to 5 min to 15 min to 1 day to 1 week ? And what does RSI 2 actually mean when I set chart time frame in different time zones ?
Which closing prices those 2 RSI will be taking upo different time zones set chart ?
For details RSI calculation, you can check here.
Values will be picked the timeframe we select. 14 period represents the data from the recent 14 candles.

Thank for reverting. Gone through the zerodha varsity note. But still one point that I want to know what is that 2 RSI when I set the chart time frame at 1 minute ? What is taken as 2 actually ?
2 is the Lookback period…in your case it means RSI of the Last Two one minute candles…
To understand more clearly, consider RSI(14):—
- on daily TF it means RSI of last 14 ‘Daily’ candles
- on Hourly TF it means RSI of last 14 ‘Hourly’
candles - on a 5 min TF it means RSI of last 14, 'five min
candles.
hope you get it now
Thank you for reverting. It is explained well. Let me check if I get it right.
