Margin’s are used in both spot market and futures market in intraday trading. What are the differences between them? Advantages and disadvantages of one over the other in intraday trading?
In equity intraday, you have flexibility of trading any quantity you want. In futures, minimum lot size.
But in futures, you can trade until 3.30 pm, whereas equity only till 3.20 pm. In futures, you can decide to carry position to next day with margin, with intraday equity you can’t. Even if you have full money to buy, you can’t carry forward a short intraday position to next day.

Beginners should first test their strategy in spot market because the lot size in futures are large.
