Being a shareholder of any listed company, what information do we have access to?

I enquired to investor relations department of the company. As per them we cannot have access to minutes of Board meeting or any other committee meeting.

So how can we get access to information or what is the purpose of investor relations department for minority public shareholder.

you are allowed to ask this during the concall event that companies have for investors. there is no defined line as to what access retail people have. it depends on the company, so best is to check with them.
