I hold 184 shares of IRCTC at an average purchase price of ₹1,057.12 per share. The latest price I observed was around ₹473.
I have held these shares for a considerable period and am currently facing a substantial unrealised loss. I have also received dividends totalling approximately ₹7,687.50.
I do not want to average down or hold indefinitely for another five years just to recover my purchase price.
Could experienced investors please share their fundamental analysis and views on the following?
-
What are IRCTC’s growth prospects over the next 3–5 years?
-
Is the current valuation attractive, fair or expensive?
-
What are the main risks to future earnings and share-price recovery?
-
Should I continue holding all 184 shares, or consider a phased exit during a recovery?
-
What business developments or financial results should I monitor before making an exit decision?
Please provide a reasoned analysis based on fundamentals, valuation and risks rather than an unsupported price target.
Thank you.
