Is a cancelled cheque without my name printed on it accepted to link my bank account?

I want to delink my bank account and add a new account I opened today with hdfc. I received a cheque book that doesn’t have my name printed on it, but it’s got the ifsc and account number. Is such cancelled cheque accepted to change my bank account linked to my trading and demat?

Nope, the cheque has to be personalized. You could wait, complete some transactions and submit your bank statement along with it

@Bhuvan, passbook copy reflecting name, ifsc and micr is accepted as bank proof right? But I guess they stop sending a monthly bank statement if they issue a passbook
