Is choosing CNC option better than selecting MIS and later converting it into CNC while placing a trade in order to avoid excessive STT charges?

Please let me know whether I can reduce excessive STT charges by selecting CNC while placing the order only rather than placing the order with MIS option and later converting into CNC when the market turns to be unfavorable.I got this doubt after reading an article by Nithin, where it was mentioned that STT charges may go upto 10x when an MIS is converted to CNC.

I don’t think it works that way. STT is charged on every sell order whatever be the order type.

I don't think by selecting CNC or MIS will help you to reduce the STT.

Its 0.025% on sell side for intraday.

For Delivery 0.1% on both Buy and Sell.
