Since International mutual funds are considered as debt type in terms of taxation. Is it worth investing in it considering 20% Long term capital gains
It is not flat 20%, it is 20% post indexation. Based on current inflation trends, should work out less than 15%.
Purpose of international funds is diversification. If 5% extra tax worries you, don’t buy it.
