Is NIFTY50 entering a sustained uptrend or just range-bound strength?

NIFTY50 has been holding key levels well, with dips getting bought consistently. Price action looks stable with no major breakdowns, but also no strong breakout yet.

Some factors I’m observing:

  • Improving global liquidity sentiment
  • Stable domestic flows (SIPs absorbing dips)
  • Reduced selling pressure from FIIs
  • Relative strength compared to global markets

At the same time, the index is still mostly moving in a range and hasn’t shown a clear expansion move.

How are you interpreting this phase?

  • Early stage of an uptrend?
  • Just consolidation before a move either side?
  • Waiting for a confirmed breakout or breakdown?

Interested to hear different perspectives and what signals others are tracking.

When peer indices like KOSPI, Nikkei are hitting ATH, I feel NIFTY bounce back is pretty weak. If global things go down again, Nifty might break previous low. If not, it’s just like a dead fish moving with the water flow… will see recovery but nothing to be proud about.
