Is passive investment better than active investment?

No one can give you the accurate answer for this question. If you are professional trader( Only earning is stock trading) the active investment will be good and if you don't have much time go for a mutual funds which will also give you good returns in Long term.

The stock broker will welcome you and will convert all your money into their brokerage earnings in short time span.So please don't go to them for managing your money instead go for Mutaul funds.
