Is “Price Ladder-Based Trading” the Fastest Way to Trade in FnO? Share your thoughts on OptionX.trade!

Hi Traders,

All major capital markets and discretionary prop desks use price ladder-based trading platforms. These platforms are designed to interpret price action intuitively, making trade execution extremely quick and easy, and are highly effective for intraday trading in volatile instruments such as Futures and Options.

Today, we are introducing you to one such platform OptionX, which has been making waves since its launch last year for it’s execution capabilities.

OptionX is a comprehensive, single-screen interface trading platform, perfectly blending speed, precision, control, and reliability. It delivers a truly one-click trading experience while retaining all essential order functionalities down to the last detail.

For instance, you can react instantly during a significant market move with a one-click bracket order.
All orders—limit, stop-loss, or bracket—can be placed, modified, and canceled with just one click.

It offers three types of Price Ladders

  • Price Ladder: Execute scalping trades in naked options with a single click.
  • Price Ladder XY: Trade options based on spot levels, such as support, resistance, or breakout, allowing traders to place trades in options without waiting for levels.
  • Spread Ladder: Seamlessly execute any multi-leg strategy, including straddles, strangles, iron condors, butterflies, or custom combinations—all with one click.

Key Features of OptionX:

  • 14-Day Free Trial for Live Trading
  • Advanced Order Management: Quick one-click trade placement, Auto SL trailing, drag-and-drop order modifications, one-click kill switch, bulk order cancellation, quantity slicing for market orders, unlimited trade quantity (no freeze limit), and more
  • Option Strategy Charts
  • Position Adjustment Module: One-Click Roll-Up/Roll-Down
  • Single-Screen Interface with Custom Workspaces to tailor your trading interface to your needs
  • Option Chain, Greeks & OI Data

The TV Terminal price ladder is an add-on product by TradingView and is offered by most brokers, including Dhan, Fyers and more.

However, it is quite basic and should not be compared with OptionX. The OptionX price ladder is highly intuitive and packed with advanced features, and offers exceptional execution.

I suggest taking an OptionX free trial to make an informed decision.

@ShubhS9 how come some advertisement here ? Is it Zerodha allowed ? Not sure whome to ask, so just pointing it to you…

Usually, I don’t comment on promotional threads. However, since the OP sent me a personal message requesting my feedback, I decided to go through the demo video on YouTube.

My first impression is that this platform is not designed for option sellers. Sellers don’t need to execute orders quickly; instead, they place limit orders. So, this seems to be geared towards buyers, more specifically scalpers.

I am not a scalper, but if I were to scalp, I would look for a clutter-free interface with two large, bright green and red buy and sell buttons. I would definitely not prefer an interface for scalping that resembles an Airbus cockpit.

Hope this helps.

Hey Jayadratha, thanks a lot for checking out the demo and sharing your honest feedback. Appreciate you taking the time, especially since it’s not your usual thing.

You’re right — OptionX is built for fast execution, which is ideal for scalpers who need to act quickly. But we definitely didn’t overlook the needs of option sellers.

The platform fully supports placing and managing limit orders at combined strategy premium levels, and with the adjustment module, positions can be rolled up or down quickly.

Imagine, placing a bracket order in iron condor in one click, with predefined target and SL at combined premium level.

Plus, users can monitor strategy and payoff charts (including hedges), POP, risk/reward ratios, and more. I realize this might not have come across clearly in the demo.
Just as an example, you could set a limit order at 250 to buy a straddle (or any option-selling strategy) and modify it to 245 with a simple drag and drop if needed.

Your point about the interface feeling a bit overwhelming is fair, there’s a learning curve of 1-2 days and we’re always looking for ways to make it more user-friendly.
But the ladder view is designed to let you do everything in one place quickly, which helps reduce slippage during scalping. While some traders prefer simple buy/sell buttons, we believe that an effective scalping setup requires more advanced tools like easy order modification, quick cancels, trailing stop-losses etc.

A fun side note — we actually often say option trading is like flying a fighter jet: speed is critical, and every tool, lever, and button needs to be right at your fingertips. And in case of emergencies, there’s always that eject lever for a quick escape. That’s the philosophy behind OptionX’s design, to make it like a fighter jet cockpit. It might look complex at first, but it’s all there for a reason — to support fast, precise actions.

Thanks again for your insights, and I hope you’ll give OptionX a try!
