After Texas froze like a popsicle and everyone lost electricity, it got me thinking about the energy sector more recently. We frequently use electricity in almost every aspect of you lives, from the cell phones in out pockets to the AC that cools our homes. I personally have some solar panels on my roof that have helped keep my electric bills down, even during these hot Arizona summers. It was only until this last month that I considered add some solar panel companies to my portfolio. I also feel that solar power companies are set for success as I hear and read about people trying to be more ‘off the grid.’ I have not done that much research yet and just wanted to hear some opinions about this idea of investing into solar energy. Do you think this sector has potential? Do you have some of these companies in your portfolio or recommend any publicly traded solar companies?
