Simply go to ‘positions’ window, click on more options for the stock and press convert. Convert from MIS -> CNC.
Suppose you had 100 stocks bought as MIS and you wish to convert only 50, enter respective value and convert.
This way 50 stocks will be auto-squared off, 50 will be CNC.
Kindly note, square off manually to avoid auto-square off cost of Rs.50 + GST (at the time of commenting) and also note that for the 50 converted stocks you’ll be paying CNC charges.
Today I had used this feature of converting the MIS order to CNC. I was concerned about the charges, and then thought about the strategy I had initiated and the auto square off charge of 50 inr. I took the risk, and there has been no additional charges. It bailed me out of the mistake i committed.
This is part of trade execution efficiency and discipline. I always see which order I am placing, and make sure not making any mistakes.
