I was eager on Snowman logistics, but unfortunately could not add the scrip SNOWMAN to the Market Watch when it was listed on NSE recently. Is there is any number of days after which brokers allow them to be traded? What could have happened?
The day a stock lists on the exchange, you will be allowed to trade on it. The reason you would not have been able to add is most likely because you use the quick login while logging into ZT.
With a quick login, if there is any new scrips added to the scrip master, it doesn’t get downloaded. That would have been the reason you didn’t see the snowman stock. From next time, if there is a new stock/contract listed and you are not seeing, logout and ensure that the quick login is unticked.
I am using Zerodha Z5 and the normal html where we place orders (the immediate page which opens after logging in to trade.zerodha.com)
I am not using ZT.
In that case, what should I do?
Surprising why it would not have showed up. Will have this checked tomorrow.
I checked even now, in both Z5 and normal HTML screens.
SNOWMAN is NOT appearing in the Add Scrip dialog box. Please check asap. My friends also tried on listing day and got disappointed.
Snowman was listed on the BE category, so when you are adding scrip to marketwatch, you need to search for it in the BE category and not EQ category.
Ok. Thanks. I will inform my friends too.
Edit:
Still I am not able to add in the regular HTML window.
I opened Z5 and added. It works. Thanks
