ITR-3 - How to show loss in 65(i) - (iii) under under Part A - P & L section and sub section 65?

I am trying to show speculative income in ITR-3.
I have chosen 65(i) - (iii) under under Part A - P & L section and sub section 65 which is meant for those who do not wish to maintain books.
So my question is how to fill 65(i) - (iii) if I have loss instead of profit.
The 65(ii) is actually saying profit. So do I have to enter negative number here or leave it zero.
If it is zero then what to do with expenses in 65(iii)?

Hello @adianadiadi

Point no. 65 in Income tax utility is for reporting speculative income or loss only and not for without books of accounts.
For reporting without books of account it needs to be mentioned in point 64.
However in point 65 you can report the loss by entering negative amount.

Thanks

But in the ITR-3 is stating:
Part A - P & L
Profit and Loss Account for the financial year 2025-26 (fill items 13 to 60 & 66 in a case where regular books of accounts are maintained, otherwise fill items 61 to 65 as applicable)

That means 65 is for those who do not maintain books. @Quicko

Just to clarify my earlier response: the relevant disclosure in Part A–P&L, Sl. No. 65 is applicable where speculative/intraday activity is reported without maintaining books of account. If regular books are maintained, the intraday trading results are reported through the Trading Account/P&L instead. So my earlier statement was incomplete.

Didn’t you say to leave it blank if doing it under 44AD?

Thank you. But is it not Funny? If I declare that I dont maintain the books, then I can go for 65 even though I have the books with me. @Quicko
