Lets say I booked profits today May-10-2021 from short selling. I have my margins released in Kite. Can I take new trades on the same day (positional) ? Will I get margin penalty ? Because I read in another post, that exchanges does random margin checks through out the day. Also we have T+1 settlement for F&O.
I am kind of confused if can safely sell more premiums the same day (T+0 ) without getting into margin troubles even if Zerodha allows.
The margins released after squaring-off your Futures and Short Option position can immediately be used to take new positions.
Only the premium you receive upon taking short option position can be used to buy options on T-Day, from next day onwards you can use it wherever you want.
So I can use the premiums to buy stocks or other F&O positions ?
As explained above, the premium received from selling options can only be used to buy options on the same day. From next day onwards, you can use it wherever you want.
