We’ve phased out the filter option on Kite Web. We recommend using the tagging feature on Console to sort your holdings according to your preferences.

Tags does help to see to stocks part of small case. And since I already had invested in smallcases and all of a sudden filter is gone.
I think tagging should be additional feature along with Filter becasue it is to differentiate direct and smallcase stocks.
Now it’s very hard to see direct stocks. Please advise how can I easily see stocks bought on Kite.

Hi ! Please bring the filter option back in Kite web. I have 5 smallcases subscribed for my zerodha account. Everytime smallcase rebalances the portfolio, do you want us to go manually and tag each one of these stocks? At present, it has messed up the holdings view totally. I want to see my personal stock purchases separately do not want to see smallcase purchases jumbled into the same view. Please suggest the way forward

There used to be a filter to select only Kite only holdings, stocks brought through smallcase etc.
That filter is missing from Kite web now. It used to be very convenient to understand your personal portfolio gains vs gains in all the smallcases.
Has the filter been removed?

Zerodha, please bring this filter feature back in kite web. I would not want to see smallcase purchases and my personal stock picks jumbled into one view. The present view is not helpful. Please bring back the earlier filter
After rebalance in smallcase, some stocks exists in self bought holdings and in smallcase holdings as well.
And it’s not possible to see quantity difference and if I will exit stocks in wrong quantity (from self bought holding) then it will messup the smallcase theme.
Please bring the Filter option asap.
This was a completely working and fully implemented feature on desktop. You have replaced it with half baked features like tagging.
Tagging has it’s own shares of bugs that have not been fixed yet. With the way you guys promote tagging, I am 100% sure none of you are using it. I tried to use it extensively but the number of bugs it has + how slow it is means it is not a ready product.
I put the time and effort to manually tag all my stocks with descriptive tags but the outcome was not even worth it due to how slow and buggy it is.
What I could view with one click on web now I have to navigate to console, find tags, tag new stocks, let it query your server and load all tags slowly.
And as expected, you somehow removed this feature in a buggy way too.
The last time I used Kite, I had set it to Kite filter to see only the stocks I bought directly
Today when I opened Kite again, it is still loading stocks from those filter only and not the smallcase stocks. But there is no way to switch back to view all stocks since you hid the button. So now I am permanently stuck on viewing only holdings I bought directly on kite. 
I fixed it by clearing cookies and logging back in again
Asking me to go to console every time I want to filter my stocks is like asking me to open some other website every time I want to place an order. On top of it Console is not updated in real time (to look at day profits)
I just opened console to look at how tagging is now, as expected:

Also since only smallcase holdings are now visible in my Holdings tab, I have no way to exit the stocks that I directly bought on Kite.
How do I sell the stocks that I bought directly on Kite if it is not visible in my Holdings tab?
I don’t want to switch between Kite app/website for such things.
Please resolve this issue ASAP.

Hi @Meher_Smaran,
I had filtered the portfolio to display smallcase holding last Friday and since the filter option is phased out, I cannot see my kite holdings.
Portfolio view is not defaulted to Smallcase holdings and there is no way to switch back to Kite Holdings.
Please fix this issue ASAP.

Log out and log back in. That fixed it for me.
I tried it, but it was not working.
I tried clearing my cookies as suggested in your previous reply and luckily it worked.

Typical High handness. No communication whatsoever of any new feature or deprecated one. This is not the first time.

I had raised a trouble ticket in their support portal. The reply received says that to enhance user experience and to optimise their platform, then have removed the filter function. I really do not understand how removing a really useful working feature is enhancing user experience. If they removed a feature, the alternate that they are suggesting is really atleast 10 steps backwards and not a practical implementable suggestion. Imaging 5 smallcases getting rebalanced and you have to manually go and tag each one of them at the console level. This is really very poor on zerodha’s part. Dont know how else to impress upon these guys to bring back this feature.

Seriously they never update of any deprecated feature.
Always just aplogize for the inconvenience caused for any issue and resolve the ticket.
Thats the secret to have high number of resolved ticket

is this zerodha’s nudge to us to open another demat account with some other broker to separate personal stock picks from smallcase purchases? Looks like that is the only practical option available…

Does phasing out mean removing it abruptly? What about those who rely on it? Are we expected to go tagging existing holdings manually?
It was a really crucial dropdown. Please bring it back. Or some easy way to differentiate smallcase holdings from others.

Can you help us with the logic of phasing the filter out? I know you brought in the tags, but what is the real reason what it a costly to maintain the filter functionality?

Please revert this change or turn off the feature flag that does not show the filter options. Be it stocks bought on Kite or on the Smallcase platform, the account should show all the holdings. I’m not sure why this was done. Did it cost you a lot fetch and show smallcase holdings?
