Is there a way to disable chart streaming when coming back to idle chart page? For example, if I’m gone away from my browser tab for 15min and then come back chart starts streaming latest data instead of refreshing or showing it instantly. I either have to reload page or reopen layout. It’s really inconvenient when multitasking.
As far as I know, I don’t think Kite currently has an option to disable chart streaming when the tab is inactive. The chart maintains its live data connection, and when you come back after some time, it may reconnect/catch up, which can cause the behaviour you’re seeing.
I do understand that however is it Tradingview’s behaviour or kite itself is the question. I’d really like some solution where it either updates instantly or keeps updating in background without streaming on attention.
For now I have found this Firefox extension that keeps tabs active.
But this is not an ideal solution. I kindly request Kite devs to consider this as a feature that can be toggled.
