Kite is just stuck in all browsers

Since last two days ,kite hangs few seconds after i login .No features are working
The mouse cursor icon also doesn’t change when I hover it to buttons on kite.Its just stuck.
Although Pi is working fine.But there is no VWAP in Pi so i use kite.
Irony of zerodha :- The day trading indicator is absent in their day trading platform.
Are there someone else who are also facing the issue?

This happened with me when I open multiple tabs of kite web for different stocks charts.
This must be due to heavy memory usage by Kite on Chrome as I cross checked in resource monitor, it used ~2 GB of computer RAM out of 3.6 GB !

Issue must be addressed.

I have lots of RAM so that isn’t the problem
But I did get this message:No storage space available. Possible causes include browser being in Private Browsing mode, or maximum storage space has been reached.
I deleted cookies and cached images in chrome and now its working fine,at least temporarily

May be due to max cap reached of chrome HTML-5 storage methods.
This can be checked from chrome developer tools.
In the meantime till resolution we can go ahead with clearing storage as you have done.

Same thing for me too, i one more issue is that % of gain/loss of Individual stock or index is not working earlier version of Kite was great, i request Zerodha to revert back to old kite version or please don’t upgrade it at all.

Same here! :frowning: (on El Capitan 10.11.6, Quad Core CPU, 8GB RAM, MacBook Pro, Safari 10.1.1)

No software has “ever” forced Safari to issue a message like that in last 4 years of my macbook usage. But this version of Kite is exceptional!

It is a CPU and memory hogger compared to previous one, which was smooth as silk on my system.

New version of Kite seriously needs attention!

Did u check if u were browsing privately on safari?

Do you think I am that stupid that I did not even check that and instead spent time taking screenshots and writing posts!

Are you working for Zerodha by the way? You seem to defend them a lot.

A problem is a problem and needs to be handled and NOT denied!

calm down, i just asked coz recently that happened to me on my ipad ,i got it to normal browsing then i had no problems. No, i don’t work for them. i work with them, Zerodha is my broker and i am their client.

I can also confirm that following also works for Safari!

  • deleting all cookies/website data, along with
  • Library/Caches folder (in mac)

CPU utilization has gone down drastically!

However, real test of if the problem is gone for good is tomorrow, when live data gets in!
