In holding section of kite there must be hyperlink on share name so that you know sale purchase transaction for that particular share. It will tell you various purchase and sale dates along with prices. It tells you weather sell qualify for long term or short term by seeing purchase dates. It is also helpful weather you should take a loss now considering actual price of purchase which is not clear by average price which may be low due to average out by later purchases. This facility really helpful and extended by kotak.
This feature is currently already available in your Q Backoffice under Holdings. You can directly go to you Q Holding page from Kite by selecting ‘Q Historical’.
On your Q Holdings page, you will see a [+] dropdown option after the stock name.
You’ll be able to view the breakdown of trades under each Holding using this dropdown option. The breakdown will most importantly give you the number of days since each of the trades was executed. In this way, you can manage your Holdings based on what has already converted into long term holdings(>365 days). The breakdown also gives you the average price and quantity of trades on different trade dates.
