Kite token generation time (7:30 AM to 6 AM)

Dear Zerodha,

Right now, it is recommended to generate the kite api token after 7:30 AM to be valid for next 23 hours.

Would it be possible to modernize (or improve batch efficiency) on your end, so that users can generate the tokens by 6:30 AM itself (or even better by 5:30/6 AM)?

That would be a life saver and great help for people like me who start to office early morning, and still can generate the token and use the automated trading.

To be honest, end of the day batch running till 7:30 AM is kind of unusual.

Pardon me if I am new, can you explain what these tokens are that need to be refreshed?

I have just barely set up the API + Oauth process for authorising my account, and was under the impression that they don’t need to be refreshed.

I know that if you create an API key with dhan APIs then they are valid for up to 30 days, isn’t that possible over here?

That is not allowed to do, rule saying key should be refreshed everyday and we follow it.

Could you link to the SEBI rule for my understanding please ?

Yes, this is a huge hassle. Either the flush should be once a week or an option should be there to set the token previous night itself.

I support this request. I also need to generate the Kite API token earlier in the morning due to my schedule. Allowing token generation by 5:30–6:30 AM would greatly help users who rely on early setups.
Hope Zerodha can consider this improvement.
