Kite web: When clicking on a script it does nothing, if i want to open chart for the script
i have to:
hover over the script,
as the options are visible scroll to the chart icon,
click on the icon to see the chart.
it would be much better option to see the chart as i click on the script on any screen (markets watch, holding, positions).
Q1: is there any specific reason why this intuitive one click behavior is skipped for a 3 step behavior?
Q2: The mobile app has the next and previous arrows, which opens the chart for the next and previous script in the list (markets watch, holdings). why does Kite web not have this? this seems useful to have in web version as well.
The UI is designed this way, where you need to hover over the scrip and click on the chart icon to open the chart. We’ve received feedback on making this a more direct one-click interaction, and it’s on our list of things to consider. However, given the other things currently in the pipeline, this would be a low-priority item for now.
On Kite Web, you can currently select a scrip in Marketwatch and use the ↑/↓ keys, followed by C, to open its chart. This provides a similar way to navigate through the scrips and open their charts.
If i interact with the chart then the arrow key and pressing c stops working and we are back to selecting the script and pressing c, two step interaction.
If you have the next/prev arrows to navigate this becomes single step interaction
Or
If chart opens on clicking on the script thi becomes a single step interaction.
We have reviewed this. If a user wants to refer to the chart for instrument 1 and then instrument 8, they would still need to open each instrument’s chart from the list. Hovering and clicking the chart is also a single click, similar to clicking the instrument. I understand your point, though, and we will check what is feasible to improve this experience.
Could you DM your client ID so someone can assist you with this? It is working fine from our end.
