Liquidcase and Liquidbees - Panacea to declining savings interest rates?

HDFC Bank announced that from the weekend, they will lower the interest rate on its savings bank A/cs. This is the lowest ever by HDFC Bank. Below pic shows the historic rates. I think SBI, ICICI and other big banks more or less offer similar rates

Even if we consider other smaller banks that pay higher savings rate to attract deposits, The benefits that Liquid funds like Liquidcase and bees offer far outweigh the benefits from savings bank account.

We are slowly transforming into an era with lower deposit rates. It needs to be seen how banks tackle this issue. Market crash doesn’t seem to be working for banks in bringing the deposits back.

Doubt:

Hasn’t this always been the case ? i.e., short term liquid funds like Liquidcase/bees offering higher interest rates than savings bank interest.

These liquid funds invest in Treps, and when the RBI reduces the repo rates, the interest rates for Treps too reduces.

So, the returns generated from these liquid instruments too will reduce from what they are now, same as the reduction in savings bank interest rates.

Its he direct effect of recent Repo rate cut by the RBI , and also note that the savings interest rate is refereed the idle cash in your savings account not a Fixed deposit , in general all the Banks pay very less interest on these amounts

IDFC gives tiered rates upto 7.25. RBL from 5.5 to 7.25%, equitas - 3 to 7.25% tiered

DCB Bank upto 7.5 tiered. AU small Finance bank - 3 to 7.25%

We have so many options for SB rates.
