Lost 3 Years of Hard Work on TradingView: Seeking Advice and Support šŸ˜”

Hey everyone,

I’m reaching out here because I just experienced something pretty devastating. After nearly three years of working on chart layouts, building my custom analysis, and setting up my TradingView workspace, I accidentally deleted all my chart layouts. They were all named ā€œunnamed,ā€ and I didn’t realize that by deleting them, I’d lose every bit of custom work I’d put in.

It’s a hard pill to swallow since each of those charts represented hours of effort, insights, and setups that I relied on in my trading. I tried everything I could think of—checking caches, history, and even reaching out to TradingView support, but it doesn’t look promising.

Have any of you experienced something like this? I’d love any advice on rebuilding efficiently, restoring my settings, or even ways to prevent this in the future. I’d also appreciate any words of encouragement—I know I’m not the first to lose data, but it’s a tough one to process.

Thanks for any help or support you can offer!

Same issue was happened with me also like it happened to you and may be happened to others too , only thing you can do is that , slowly recall the chart settings and create it again , many times you will come up with better chart settings or system , All the best to you

Yes I did face such situations, several times. And not just in trading but in other spheres of life too.

Ultimately you realise that everything is in your brain, which no one can take away from you.

So even if we lose everything tomorrow incl. money, relationships and whatever else we had, there should exist a confidence that we will build everything up again as it was none other than us who built it the first time. Unless of course we took some shortcut for it.

Making it for the second time will only be easier than the first. Just that you’d be pushed back in time by some hours / days / months but even that will leave behind a valuable lesson which wouldn’t have been learnt any other way.
