What will be the lot size of Nifty F&O from 20th November ? I thought that it will be 75 for 6 months from 20th November 2024 . But i read in an article from zerodha that it will be 60 after square off. Can somebody confirm the lot sizes of Nifty from 20th November 2024 and what will be the lot size from 20th May 2025 ?

If the market crashes bigtime, then the lot size may bump up to 75 else 60. SEBI should have given a timeline to the exchanges to decide the weekly index and also the lot size. NSE has not even decided which index will be selected for weekly options. They shouldn’t make announcements on 19 Nov 2024 and expect everyone to adjust from the next day.

I think they might choose Nifty only. Nifty and Sensex are major benchmarks. Bank Nifty is just a sectoral index. BSE has already chosen Sensex.
If NSE chooses BN, then most of the volume might shift to BSE. Anyways only time will tell. They will have to make the announcement soon as they have to release November expiry options.
