There is a big list of high volume ETFs that were earlier available for pledging, some of my previous holdings in them are currently pledged but the new purchases in them I am unable to pledge…

Examples: TNIDETF, FMCGIETF, HEALTHY, CONSUMIETF

Can some one from Zerodha please confirm what happened to these? I have tried asking this Question using a support ticket but I am not getting a satisfactory response…

Are any other users facing this issue? If yes then request you to add your examples here pls…

Starting in August, Clearing Corporation (CC) has made changes to the criteria based on which securities are approved for pledging. As per the new criteria, CC will accept equity securities as collateral only if they meet the following criteria:

  1. Impact cost of up to 0.1% for an order value of Rs. 1 lakhs.
  2. Traded on at least 99% of days over the past 6 months.

Securities that don’t match the criteria, cannot be pledged anymore, while the margin for the existing pledged quantity is reduced by increasing haircuts each month in a phased manner.
