Just place limit order if it match on exchange it will get executed.
Zerodha does not have tick by tick data.

This issue still not fixed, market depths of zomoto current month ATM contracts takes 30sec to refresh, i placed limit order at sellers/offer price but my order did not fill, 30sec later M.depth refreshes and sellers are moved and my order sitting somewhere in bid list. only way to overcome this is by placing market order.

It does take some time to update market depth. May be 5 to 10 secs.
@Jason_Castelino , is it normal, you didn’t loose opportunity as 5-10 seconds is enough to loose trade, in my case sometimes it’s takes even 20-30 seconds. Moreover I am facing this issue since 2 years, before that, the same is refreshed within seconds.

For my type of trading, it doesn’t really matter.
Zerodha does not offer tick by tick data thats why it takes time to update.
Once you place order it is live on exchange so it will get executed if the price is matched.
Minimum expectation is, a trade should be seen happening within the Best Offer and Bid Price (range). But, what I see is, the LTP is outside this best offer/bid range. Whenever i want to exit my position quickly, i am forced to place order blindly, to transact at the current best price which is hidden to me. I believe this is huge slippage. And market depth data is misleading.
This is the biggest issue which i think zerodha is taking lightly.
You are noticing this for which segment? eq or fno?
this problem is there with SSO - single stock options.
index options the refresh rate is faster, but for SSO your refresh rate is very slow. by the time bid offers have already changed max times

Screen recording done today (23-Sep-2026) comparing with other broker.
Option: CROMPTON SEP 230 PE
Right side in the screen is Zerodha’s market depth window. Leftside is from another broker. You can see how much changes happened in the left side window, whereas Zerodha looked like frozen. This is a serious lapse from Zerodha which need to be corrected immediately.
