Infosys has declared a dividend of Rs 28 (final dividend 20 + special dividend 8) and the record date is fixed as May 31, 2024 (Friday).
May expiry is on May 30, 2024 (Thursday).
Assuming I take delivery of Infy in May expiry (either by being short in PE or by being long in CE) will I still be eligible for the dividend?
Earlier when we were on T+2 settlement we needed to buy the shares at least 2 days before the record date but now we are on T+1 settlement (from Jan 2023 I think) so I am not sure if it is just one day before the record date.
