MF fund as monthly income

Hi All,

Is it a good idea to sell MF early, might be 1 or 2 months, once it reaches good profit, consider a 3-4% hike, to make a monthly income.

Is it a good idea or it should only be used for a long term, 1,3 5 years?

It is difficult to generate monthly income from stock as it requires continuous monitoring, hence thinking of this way.

Any suggestion to generate monthly income will help a lot

No monthly income possible. Bad idea to sell on 3-4% hike, atleast for most people. Markets change behaviour from time to time and whats working recently can stop working atleast until next time.

For most people, best to not focus on investments too much. Just have some allocation plan between equity and other assets and hold for very long term. 1 or 3 years is not long term and i think neither is 5.

To generate monthly income, focus on job.
