Mse starting weekly expiry on friday

@nithin sir

Rainmatter and grow parent company has invested in MSE and they have anounced there weekly expiry on friday .

So is there plan to allow trading at Mse in zerodha in future ?

We have plans but can’t commit any timeline as of now.

Huh?

You guys are shareholders of MSE

You guys in fact should be the first ones to offer it

Only 2 more exchanges required now to have daily expiry again. :ok_hand:

but why Friday and not Mon/Tue/Wed when there is no other weekly expiry?

Tuesday SENSEX expiry

why is MCX not starting something?

Interesting question.
MCX started a stock exchange long time back, before it got tainted by NSEL scam, called MCX-SX.
After the scam SEBI cracked down on it, and MCX was forced to reduce its shareholding.
MCX-SX name was changed to … Metropolitan Stock Exchange :slight_smile:

So this is the exchange which MCX started and it still holds a minority stake in it. I doubt they are going to start anything else.

Full Of Comedy Of SEBI

One side they are eliminating Weekly Expire - Even SEBI officials not Like Derivatives Market
On Other side They are Allowing New Weekly to expire

One thing I Understand - Fooling Retailers

Wow, One side Zerodha founders publicly appreciating SEBI’s move to reduce weekly expiries and now investing in an exchange launching another weekly expiry.

Also Zerodha just launched MTF at some 15% pa interest rates, as if retailers are smart enough to earn 15%+ from stock investing! And then they claim profitable traders are good for them in long run.

Double standards everywhere,

@siva @nithin sir

Can the sebi make rule that all weekly expiry of all exchanges be held on same day. This will reduce number of expiry from present 2 a week to 1 per week. monthly expiry of bnf,finnifty coincide with nifty so that number of expiry remains less. If this happens it will hurt zerodha revenue and same time reduce expiry further.

I hope zerodha has done all due diligence to avoid such scenarios and if there is any chance this may happen rather have msei expiry Tuesday or Thursday to avoid this risk and keep number of expiry to not less than 2 a week.

Guess all the changes around expiries are done for now, atleast we believe so.
