MTF closed beta for TradingQ&A users

Is there restrictions in MFT trades

  1. It is not allowing placing an order morethan 10 L per stock?
  2. It is not allowing to place 2nd order after executing 1st order even if the value is lessthan 10 L?

Which means Do I need to keep cash equal to loss amount in account.
Ex: suppose I have only 10k in my account and I created mtf position of 35k 10k is mine and 25k is from zerodha. Now after creating position stock down by -10%. Then stock show mtm loss of 3.5k. In this situation how much amount I should keep in my account or how zerodha maintain this position if I don’t have that amt in my account

Per scrip limit is ₹10L and the max client limit is ₹50L for now. If you are placing the order on the same scrip after breaching the ₹10L borrowing limit, it won’t execute. Have you tried executing on a different scrip?

Best idea is to leave some free cash in your account and not utilize all of the available cash. If there’s a loss on the position, the ledger will go into negative, in case of not having sufficient cash. Square off won’t happen until in an extreme drawdown case.

Yes, i tried in two different stocks and total amount of both orders is lessthan 10 only still It is not allowing to place 2nd order after executing 1st order even if the value is lessthan 10 L?

Can you confirm on this ?

Today i tried. It is allowing. Thank you

I have signed up for MTF beta. How many days it will take ?

There will be a Kite popup which says try MTF beta and then it will open on console, for which you have to give consent for MTF. On Kite web, btw.

Received Kite update now after updating all mtf positions show on application.

But limited stock available for funding.
still now not fully live.

Full list of scrips will be available after the public official launch which will take 1-2 weeks, as per the management.

The exposures that is given on Zerodha at present is good, comparable to AngelOne. Let’s see how much exposure they give after the official launch.

Why The stocks purchased using MTF must be pledged ?

If so can it possible to extend the pledging time from 7 PM to 11 PM on T day?

Good question. Don’t pledge next time and find out.

They’re not fully paid for by the client. Since the broker has also funded the purchase, the stocks must be pledged in favour of the broker. Think of it as a collateral when you take a loan.

Dear Sir,

I suggest that placing, modifying and delete of order should be allowed by uploading Excel Sheets on kite. Many times, in portfolio, we have many scrips and due to changes in price, we need to change price for sell or buy on daily basis. GTT is the option available, but manually changing it on daily is time consuming. Through API it can be done, but everyone does not know coding and to take help of other would also have fear, if anything would wrong. Therefor it would be time saving if order placement, modification and deletion is possible through Excel Sheets.

Please check for possibility.

Thanks,

Hi

Right now it offers 5X margin by default. Sometimes I just want 1x additional margin or just 2x. But there is no option for that and your forcing with default max margin. Can this be corrected?

Try to play with quantity then, reduce your quantity in mtf, or enter part with mtf and rest in cnc.

This may not happen anytime soon on kite, for this you can create basket and use it, just change prices with rest remaining the same.

@siva Just for a recap, what are the things that are in the pipeline to be done in Kite?

You mean in general or mtf related?
