What if I brought stock in mtf and after that it falls -10% from avg purchase price.
Do I need to add extra money in stock or it will handle loss making mtf position.

We do daily MTM of loss based on the buy price, so a 10% loss would be blocked from your cash balance, as you can check the Console funds statement. The next day, we reverse the MTM and calculate again based on the buy price and the day’s closing balance.

  1. CNC convert to MTF ?
  2. Placing of MTF order through GTT and AMO
  3. Increase in MTF exposure limit from present 50.00 lakhs to unlimited?
  4. Allowing to pledge share as collateral to place MTF trade?
  5. Increase in GTT number of order from presently 250 number per account?
  6. would you decrese rate of MTF in future as in market competitive rate range from 9 - 11% for MTF.

@VenuMadhav The margin policies such as blocking only the required amount and not debiting the whole ledger is a common-sense feature missing in all the other brokers (except for ICICIdirect) and that is a very good aspect of Zerodha. Product team at Zerodha is fantastic, no complaints on that.

MTF feels naturally integrated into Kite, kudos for that.

Another suggestion, instead of debiting the ledger (for interest) everyday, can you do it once a week? That would be helpful in keeping track of my interest costs. Thanks! :blush:

@manoj_reddy Please note, it might take a few days to screen and enable MTF for eligible users. You’ll be notified once it is enabled and you place MTF orders on Kite web. Here you can check why MTF is not allowed for some users.

Those who manage trades on mobile too difficult to do that.

Agreed @Shubha_dip However, I have found a workaround, for the time being I’m loggin into the mobile browser and managing MTF trades from there. Does the job.
