Bought few shares yesterday under MTF but no pledge request recieved, i believe that it will be auto pledged

Re pledging stocks bought through MTF is allowed? If not then please block it as i just tried to do it is gone for process and if this proceeds it will be harmful for zerodha

Yes.
Update- From today again one need to update for few more weeks, seems CC ( clearing corporations) rolling back direct payout for some unexpected issues.

Stocks list in MTF is very short fyers provides 800 stock and Dhan providing 1000+ stocks and ETF in MTF.

I hope you also will increase the list of stocks under Mtf.

I think Zerodha is waiting for the market to go bullish, then they will release the full version for everyone to ensure that users are safe.
:grinning:

Markets have their own phases of ups and downs. You generally buy the downs and sell on highs. That’s the general idea of long term investing.

Zerodha doesn’t need to ensure anything for its users. Users can take care of their finances.

By this logic, people who have invested in MTF in other brokerages, before Zerodha launch, are unsafe? @Subhash_Chhetri

Hi @siva , @VenuMadhav ,

MTF was activated to my account few days back and on last Friday 8th Nov I did a trade with MTF which was expected to settle on Monday but I see it was showing as short delivered yesterday due to CC issues. I was making small profit from the trade yesterday but was unable to sell…

also I read that the interest is charged from T+1 day onwards, I was expecting it’ll be calculated once the shares are settled in Demat but the charges deducted are from the immediate next day.

Also I see -ve balance in my funds as the trade is short delivered. Do I need to pay extra charges bcz of this -ve funds??

Thank you

I do endorse it !

I got delivery yesterday late night, then to my position was converted into CNC, as the shares are demat, MTF conversion is possible? We can externally pledge it ?

If no pledging charges which were debited should also be reversed!

The credit of shares bought on November 8, 2024, via MTF has been belayed by the clearing corporation, resulting in the position being converted to CNC. Some of these shares have been delivered, while others will show under “Short” in Kite holdings. If there aren’t sufficient funds in your account, please add funds to avoid a square-off.

Does delay by CC is now costing us additional margin and if not fulfilled then positions will be squared off, if in loss we have to suffer it due to statutory delay, doesn’t sound good right?

If we pledged the shares will zerodha provide margin for that and treat it as MTF ?

Personally I agree with you.

That is not possible for now.

Incurred loss due to delay from CC triggering zerodha to liquidate MTF trade within few hours of push notification

Ideally it should be penalised to CC instead of ultimate client

I demand charges which were debited for pledging scrips which were never pledged, hence it should be reversed my UCC is XXXXX

And also answer if the problem is resolved for initiating MTF trades and is zerodha commited for providing client protection from these unjust CC drama , as if it was xreated by broker SEBI/CC would have barged in for penalising you guys and it is us who are suffering !

Will have this done. Have masked your client id

The issue has been resolved. CCs and other Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) have rolled back the direct payout implementation

The SEBI scores platform allows an investor to file a complaint against all intermediaries, MIIs included.

Can’t we use the margin received after pledging the existing holdings for MTF trading and to do positional trading??

You’re getting into Inception mode  MTF shares are already pledged since they are funded. They can’t be again pledged to take positional trades.

No I mean to ask, the margin received after pledging the existing shares in account, can that margin be used to buy shares with MTF or to do positional trading in some other stocks… Hope the question I clear now!!
