To be clear, I want to buy securities not in the MTF list, by pledging beforehand the securities in the MTF list.
Iāve bought 5 stocks using MTF and pledged, so pledge charges will apply to all 5 stocks (Rs 30 x 5 = Rs150) or will it only charge once (Rs 30) ?
In ICICI Direct if we Buy shares using MTF, interest will be charged as low as 27/day/1 Lakh⦠is that daily compounding or Simple Interest for Total no.of Days?
If I buy 100 shares using MTF & after few days Iām with a profit of 20,000 can I square off by booking profit or do I need to pay total MTF Amount to sell the MTF shares?
((If I buy 100 SBI Shares@800/share with 20000 margin money MTF 60,000. After 10 Days shares went to 900 with a profit of 10,000⦠can I square off without paying MTF 60,000 or do I need to pay 60,000 to book 10,000 profit?))
Plz clarify @agrawal_prateek
Pledge charges are applicable as per ISIN. So it will be Rs.150
You can square off the position and book profit. No need to bring full value of MTF positions.
Like wise in ICICI Direct can we use Margin created by Existing Pledged shares as a Margin to MTF Trading or Do we need to bring Cash Margin only in Zerodha?
Hi Siva, is there any update on this - there is not a lot of clarity on how to use MTF via Kite Connect, at least nothing that I could see in the official docs.
Just give us couple more days, will get it added in documentation.
Hi⦠Which broker apart from ICICI offers shares as margin? Can you please share?
Hi. please let us know if there is any update on this.
Should be ready for next week.
Hi Siva
Any update for converting MTF to CNC?
This will take more time.
Hey Siva, hoping its done (or close to being done)?
Sorry to bug you again, but I still am not able to locate the documentation for this.
Can anyone explain how does any trader has an edge using MTF unless he is certain of market direction? Even with that you need 15% p.a run up so not only direction but also quantityā¦
Failling to understand how does one have an edge, with so many people excited for these feature⦠hope this is not just a hype trainā¦
Again you sound like like the one who has seen Unicorn which appears to be donkey to a common man like meā¦
I understand market is game of probabilities, which is also a game of diceā¦
Can you now explain the math of MTF a lil slow for newbies
Ideally MTF is not for newbies, they should stay away from leveraged trades until they are completely sure of what they were doing.
Come on knowledge is for everyone if people are willing to shareā¦
Exactly , MTF is for those people who are already have an edge(consistently profitable ), so it is definitely not for those who are still learning or testing there edge. If a trader is experienced and profitable then 15% doesnāt matterā¦
