Multiple demat accounts divdend question

Hi

Suppose I own the same company in both demat accounts (both in my name/PAN), how do corporate actions work?

For example, if I get dividend, will I get 2 dividend payouts (and 2 TDS certificates from company) or just one?

Hi, you will get 2 dividend payouts but only one TDS certificate. Your demat accounts can have different banks linked, so dividends will be processed based on demats, but TDS is based on one PAN hence just one certificate.

Any specific reason to hold the same company in 2 demat accounts since you have to pay AMC twice?
