Mutual fund investment by non-individual

Hi posting this question in a personal finance forum although it is really not about personal.

I rcvd a query about whether it is possible to invest in mutual funds by say, a LLP or firm. Any pointers or website where I can find this information? esp how KYC (mobile,-email id-pan combo) is handled.

Also for firms how taxation on MF is handled? is it same as an individual person getting taxed?

Hi @RajendraPatil , you can invest in mutual funds through an LLP or a company account. We’ve provided details regarding KYC requirements and the list of documents needed to open an LLP account with us here.

Regarding taxation, I referred to AMFI website, it shows that taxation on mutual funds depends on the type of fund: Tax Regime Specific to Mutual Fund Investors in India

However, tagging @Quicko for further questions or better clarity.

Thanks a lot @nithin_kumrr
