Mutual funds returns stated 30% for a period of 5 years. Now what does it mean, 30% return for each year of the five year term or total return at the end of 5 years.

It is the return when you invested to the time of 5yrs.It doesn’t mean that every year you have got the same return.
No, I mean to say that are those return percentage calculated on an annual basis or for the whole period of 5 years?
That’s the average annualized return. If a fund can give 54% returns in one year then 30% absolute return in 5 years doesn’t make sense right?
