Name correction

Hi,

My name in the old Pan/ ITD was "Aby Varghese Adith Varghese " which is reflecting exactly same in zerodha.

Ive got it updated to just Adith Varghese in ITD, pan and Aadhar ( Aby Varghese is my father’s name) without needing any gazette. In the zerodha name change, this feels like truncation of name which needs a gazette. How do i handle this? Would a notarized affadavit be enough ?

It’s an offline process, so you’ll need to send the physical documents by courier. You can also just raise a ticket or check out the support article

Thanks for the answer , just a confusion cause most of the offline submissions in that support page specifically mention needing to attach gazette which ive never needed till now.

I agree with you, bro. The name change process is a bit complicated with all brokers due to regulations. I’ve faced similar issues in other broker, and usually they ask for a Gazette notification. It’s best to check with Zerodha’s support team since these cases vary, but most likely a Gazette will be required.

any luck in resolving this issue, Even I would be correcting my name in PAN and AADHAAR without a Gazette, so wanted to know the how did you resolve this issue?

If we update or name in cvl kra will it get updated in zerodha account?
