My daughter’s pan name and adhaar are not matching , in adhaar it appears like her full name and my name starting letter as initial after her full name , but in pan card profile displays as my full name following my daughters full name , also while printed card displays name as only my daughters full name and fathers name as my full name , so how to correct that ? PAN shows two different names because the system stores a full “profile name” in the government database, which includes your complete name and your father’s full name for identification, while the physical PAN card only prints a short version of your name for display.
So it’s normal for the printed name and profile name to look different. For any KYC or Aadhaar linking, only the profile name is checked, not the printed one.
That’s why if Aadhaar doesn’t match PAN, you must update Aadhaar or PAN to match the profile name shown on the PAN website, because that’s the name the system uses for verification, not what is printed on the card.
If the name on PAN doesn’t match the name on Aadhaar/other documents, you must correct it first.
